  C’est un bien curieux parcours vers le centre des rêves que nous propose Attitudes, de Genève à Ivry. Construite sur mesure autour de la dimension souterraine de l’architecture de la galerie, l’exposition Expériences insulaires dévoile un monde en creux aux univers renversés.

  Dans le cadre de la politique culturelle du Conseil général de l’Essonne en faveur de l’art contemporain, le centre d’art du domaine départemental de Chamarande présente, à partir du 30 mai, une grande exposition collective intitulée « LIVING ROOMS / PIÈCES À VIVRE ».

  For September 2012, Galerie de Roussan, Jean-Jacques Lebel and Nabila Mokrani have invited more than 40 artists to create or show a small artwork – all media, concepts and generations included.

  En philosophie est absolu ce qui existe par soi-même, sans dépendance (comme en grammaire "absolu" signifie "sans complément"). Ce qui est absolu n’a besoin d’aucune condition et d’aucune relation pour être. Un absolu ne dépend d’aucune autre chose et porte en soi-même sa raison d’être. "Absolu" a pour synonymes d’une part "inconditionnel", "affranchi", d’autre part "parfait", "achevé", "total".

• Trash and Treasure

  This project was on show for two days on the square of the Halles de l’Ille. At first glance, it resembles a giant mountain of cardboard rubbish but conceals a modest entranceway on one side. Visitors must therefore get on all fours to enter within and, once passed the tunnel, enters into a dome-like cavity daubed in white. The entire cavity is illuminated by five small and cold neon lights which accentuate the geometry and artificial atmosphere of the dome. They are suspended in such a way (…)

  Only the children who are locked up in the rooms know the ways out from the world
  The “Ways Out From The World” is a quotation from the author, the poet and the artist Sami Baydar’s book of the same title from 1990. In despairing circumstances of impossibility and impotence of action, Baydar proposes the poetic act –Act of making meaning / making the World- as a vigorous enactment of emancipation, directly referencing to the realm of imaginary, the ways that art can open up.

  This installation took shape in one of the bedrooms on the Villa’s first floor, with access provided by a small trap door hidden at the base of a locked door. Visitors may squeeze in through a narrow tunnel leading to the first room. Here they discover a clandestine, two-floor laboratory beneath claustrophic, low ceilings. The laboratory’s purpose remains shrouded in mystery. The second section extends along the outdoor balcony, a long chamber, padded all about with mattresses and resembling (…)
